Provider Spotlight!
✨ Provider Spotlight: Alyssa Goodrich
This quarter, we’re thrilled to feature Alyssa Goodrich, one of our amazing Little Sparks SLPs serving students in St. Charles County, Missouri. Alyssa brings nearly six years of experience and a calm, steady energy that instantly puts students (and teammates!) at ease.
From toddlers learning to use their very first words to high-schoolers mastering the nuances of social communication, Alyssa loves seeing how small moments of progress add up to big breakthroughs. “I find great satisfaction in supporting early language acquisition,” she says, “but I also love guiding older students as they grow in their social-pragmatic skills and learn to navigate complex social environments with confidence.”
Alyssa’s approach is grounded in compassion and consistency. She believes that real growth happens when students feel safe and supported:
“The most rewarding part of my job is creating a consistent and safe space for students to feel confident and comfortable enough to grow in their communication skills.”
When asked what advice she’d give her younger self as a new therapist, Alyssa shared a piece of wisdom we can all learn from:
“Clinical effectiveness isn’t about perfection—it’s about presence. Students benefit most from a reliable, consistent therapist who keeps learning and growing right alongside them.”
It’s no surprise that Alyssa describes her therapy style as the 🌊 surfer emoji—flexible, fun, easygoing, and ready to “go with the flow.” Outside of work, you’ll find her traveling, hiking, or journaling, and every now and then treating herself to a relaxing reflexology session. Her favorite mantra?
“Never let the fear of striking out keep you from playing the game.”
We’re so grateful to have Alyssa on our Little Sparks team. Her dedication, insight, and heart for her students truly keep the spark alive in everything we do. 💛
